‘I grew up 80s’

An exhibition we went to today with Kathy and Jim held at Leicester Museum. Great fun seeing all the stuff from that decade. Surprised there wasn’t a Grifter bike there though as I remember almost all of the boys who lived around us at that time, including Stewart, had one for either Christmas or birthday. Although Kathy was very young in that decade she remembered all of it - Care Bears, My Little Pony, Smurfs, Speak & Spell, Rubik’s Cube, Cabbage Patch Dolls, and loads of music and film posters. We also went to a craft fair at the Attenborough Arts Centre - lots of lovely original things for sale, and some really interesting chats to the makers. A lovely day.
