Black and white day
No arty filters applied at all. It was a grey day and a black and white bird.
Probably not quite in full summer plumage, Great Northern Divers are impressive birds and, as a mathematician, I enjoy the geometry of their patterning. Do zoom in on the neck or back to appreciate it fully.
This bird was happily fishing close inshore, where Trica and a few of her fellow selkies were swimming.
Rain then set in but we did brave it to Baleshare with the dog.
Tonight our travelling cinema, the screen machine, is in town and we are watching Operation Mincemeat, the remake of the 1956 The Man Who Never Was, a film I can remember being shown at prep school.
