The back lawn

We have been managing this as a meadow for a while now, cutting back the more vigorous grasses, sowing rattle and other seed, a bit of planting and generally keeping the nutrient status low.  Still lots to do but it is looking good and is well used by the insects and birds.  

Someone might recognise the rusty hens . . .
