We are in Salla, which has the best slogan:
"In the middle of nowhere"!

Salla is very close to Russian border. In any higher place we can see the Russian wilderness.

In the morning we tried to visit Reindeer park, but couldn't get in as the paths were still too wet. So we hiked to Ruuhitunturi (mountain) to take some photos. Then we visited a lookout place called Kaunisharju (beautiful ridge), which it really was.

Then back to base camp for lunch and nap. And then we hiked to the top of Sallatunturi (Salla mountain) for some spectacular landscapes.

It's been quite a full day with a relaxing sauna this evening. I'm still doing some laundry, but the bed is calling for me strongly.
