An allotment hackathon

Another day of mostly marking, so I took out my frustrations on the grass, raspberries and other weeds at the back of the picking border. The ground is too hard to weed, so I just used my small hand scythe, chopping things down to ground level.
It was satisfying to do something physical and filled another compost bin. 
I also discovered that 2 of my rudbeckia have survived the winter and the tall daisies are also growing well.
