Birthday Treats!

No surprise that the day involved a train ride.   Thankfully, this year Jamie was with us too.   Twelve months ago he was admitted to hospital in the early hours of my birthday.   Now, free from gallstone pain after the op that followed, he's in better form and was the creator of the TWO cakes!   A giant Jaffa Cake - with real jelly - and a giant French fancy.   Cake for lunch and cake for tea :-)

Katie and Chris joined us on the train where Bella provided extra entertainment and as we sat in the saloon waiting for the departure from Abergynolwyn, we watched the Blue Tits come and go from their nest .... in the signal post, right by the line.   After the train I did retire for a snooze before taking Meg out for a run in the evening sunshine.   Jamie rounded the day off by cooking a delicious Korma for tea ... I've been royally looked after today!
