Afternoon walk

A full morning at church this morning. The choir meets thirty minutes before service, for a last minute practice/run through, then the service which included a baptism. This was followed by Bible study, currently looking at sections of Acts, and finally a short meeting to run over things for a mission trip we are joining in early June. We will be going to Mayfield in southern Kentucky, the town that was largely flattened by a severe tornado back in December. There are only six of us going from our church, but we are being joined by another local girl that our leader knows, as well as a couple she knows from Indiana.
After a light lunch, we got out for a walk at Miami whitewater Hamilton County Park. After all the rain we’ve had over the last few days, we wanted a paved trail. It was a pleasantly cool overcast day, and being a Sunday afternoon, there were quite a number of people out, walking, dog walking, running, cycling. You sometimes see horses along the trail, but we didn’t see any today.
