A Very Handsome Fellow

We are having rain! Lovely heavy rain as I type. It must be so strange for those of you living overseas where rain is be-moaned and sunshine is blessed to read of folk extolling rain!
Despite the damp, I was out and about with a camera as usual...this time protecting it from the rain under my heavy duty dog-walking raincoat. There was nice diffused light with the cloud cover.
I spent time this afternoon out at Brooksdale, O'Connors' farm, doing some computing training with Dawn.
I introduced her to YouTube. That may be a mistake...
We took time out from the computer to walk out into the grounds wearing raincoats and with umbrellas in order to do some photography.
The birdlife there is savouring the rain and the raindrops were making pretty patterns on the ponds.
The young swan, a cob (male) is without a mate. He appears to be deeply envious of the cob just over the fence in the next pond. That cob has a mate, my "Gracious Lady" of a few days ago.
Anyway our handsome young single fellow was busying himself fluffing up his plumage and posing attractively in order to lure Gracious Lady to his side. He was not having much luck but his posing made for a lovely image...today's blip..
