Taking A Bath

A new bird for me, a Rose-breasted Grosbeak, spotted out of the corner of my eye splashing around at the edge of a small pond. Actually the splashing around frame was too blurry.

Annoyingly, there was an out of focus twig across the bird's head. I was able to remove it in Photoshop using the frequency separation technique to selectively restore texture and colour. I also used Matt Kloskowski's technique to add a "bit of pop" to the eye, which I think worked quite well.

Extra: Three Cornered Hat. Not sure what this plant is, I'll have to find out.
