I met friends for coffee by the river Wandle at Merton Abbey Mills, and en route over I spotted swans with cygnets by the road at Mitcham (the parents had been nesting on Three Kings Pond, but were grazing by the adjacent road/roundabout...); I didn't stop on my way over, but went back that way and found them (safely) back on the water. 
There are five cygnets, and the parents were busy pulling up plastic bags and newspapers (as in my blip) from the bottom of the pond for their young to turn their beaks up at...
