Rydw i wedi newydd brynu y pâr drutaf o denims rydw i erioed wedi eu prynu, ac rydw i'n meddwl y dylen nhw bara i mi weddill fy oes. Maen nhw'n dod o Hiut Denim Co yn Aberteifi, Gorllewin Cymru.

Mae stori'r cwmni yn ddiddorol. Roedd ffatri Dewhirst yn Aberteifi yn gwneud jîns am ddeng mlynedd ar hugain. Gwnaethon nhw gyflogi 400 o bobl a gwnaethon nhw 35,000 pâr o jîns yr wythnos. Yna, yn 2002 caewyd y ffatri a gwnaeth y cynhyrchu yn symud i Foroco. Roedd yn broblem fawr i’r dref - mae'r 400 o bobol wedi cyflogi yna oedd deg y cant o'r boblogaeth o'r dref.

Yn 2011 sefydlwyd Hiut Denim Co, gyda'r syniad o wneud jîns yn Aberteifi eto. Nawr maen nhw’n gwneud 200 pâr o jîns yr wythnos gyda sylw i ansawdd i wneud iddyn nhw bara am byth.

Rydw i'n gobeithio eu bod nhw llwyddiannus iawn ac maen nhw'n gallu ehangu cynhyrchu a chyflogi mwy o bobl yn yr ardal.

I've just bought the most expensive pair of denims I've ever bought, and I think they should last me the rest of my life. They come from Hiut Denim Co. in Cardigan, West Wales.

The company story is interesting. The Dewhirst factory in Cardigan made jeans for thirty years. They employed 400 people and made 35,000 pairs of jeans a week. Then in 2002 the factory closed and production moved to Morocco. It was a big problem for the town - the 400 people employed there were ten per cent of the population of the town.

In 2011 Hiut Denim Co. was founded, with the idea of making jeans again in Cardigan. Now they make 200 pairs of jeans a week with quality attention to make them last forever.

I hope they are very successful and can expand production and employ more people in the area.
