Fading Gold?

The timing was just right…. There were still golden leaves on some of the vines on the hills near the Delta Lake up the Wairau Valley. I drove up there fairly early this morning knowing that this might be my last chance to capture golden leaves on the grapevines before the next nor-west gale blows them skywards.
It is lovely having daughter Margaret here from Wellington for a few days. She and I walked into town for lunch .. Had such a lot of fun.
