More Thatch Please.

Much ,much better today for the thatchers Chris and Mark from Pewsey. The three cottages they are doing are about 200 years old, each person paying for their percentage of the roof.

The wheat straw being used is grown on Marks family farm. I think it`s Aquila strain. Chris has been thatching now for 30 years, being trained by his grandfather. They expect to be in Marlborough for another four weeks on the Elizabethen cottages as they are called.
