As you can see from the words over the door of the fancy portal, this building started out as a school in 1888 - Stirling High School to be exact - but it is now a hotel.

It was a disappointing trip to Stirling this morning: there was no 'advisor' to help me at the bank and it was suggested that I do the business online instead. I'm not surprised there are so many banks closing these days when we're expected  to do everything online.
