Les Desmoiselles de Margate

Visited Margate today. Margate has a interesting ambience; part exhausted run-down seaside town and part artistic melting-pot. We went to a lovely junk-shop piled to the ceiling with bric-a-brac where we purchased 12 assorted old wooden chair legs for a sculpture Nathan is working on (!). We then ambled through the town which is amply served by "revival" shops which specialise in different forms of old junk retro material from clothes to cupboards, crucifixes to cooking-pots.

These lovelies were all dolled up but told me this was their normal gear. I thought they looked interesting. The men they were with were also in '50's garb and I almost blipped on of them instead.

Great to see the sun.
