A Big Bubble in Baseball...Game Eight

Not a good night on the baseball field. Our team lost 17-6, Merrick struck out twice, and he did a fair job pitching two innings.

We even had one young man who was supposed to be playing left field, but was instead 10 feet behind 3rd base...playing in the dirt of the infield. The other team hit a ball to the exact spot where he SHOULD have been, but of course...he wasn't there. Oh my.

While his team was in definite trouble,
at least Merrick blew a big bubble.
While his fastball wasn't doing its hum,
at least Merrick was working the gum.
