I saw a shot of a B&W rose in a magazine a few months ago. Ever since I've been wanting to steal.. errrr i mean be try that shot out.

i finally found the perfect rose for what I wanted. The sunlight was a little overpowering, but I still wanted a small depth of field so I had to wack up the shutterspeed and then the underexpose the image in post processing. It's turned out quite well.
