Still a nuclear family

Canada geese and brood. Canada geese are very successful at parenting, some might say too successful. 
This is a solitary family at the moment but as other Canada geese broods appear they will form "gang broods" where several families get together and the adults will share the responsibility of protecting the goslings. There can be up to 100 goslings in a gang brood with a dozen or more "aunts and uncles" looking after them.
