Wings for Marie

This is apart of my oddities series, all subjects taken from my sister's 'Curiosity Cabinet' which contains bugs, bones, feathers, skulls, snake skin, wet specimens, shells, etc. She has a plethora of both weird and interesting objects, and so I figured I should make use of them by starting an oddities series. Starting with this one, I took photographs of a dragon fly's wing that I found at a marching band rehearsal, and a honeycomb which I'm sure came from a wasp's nest on our back deck. So far I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep all of my oddities photos black and white to emphasize the detail in the subjects.
