Not an entrancing picture - simply a record of a tiny quarry on the granite hill of Bennachie near Aberdeen. But it is the ONLY place in the world where the mineral Macaulayite has been found. This unique occurrence of a particular form of decayed granite was discovered by staff geologists of the Macaulay Institute of Aberdeen.
