A very fine crossing. And day.
The damaged MV Hebrides returned to service this morning, earlier than initially planned. She struck the pier last week. We were on the first crossing from Lochmaddy in North Uist to Uig on the Isle of Skye. As nice a crossing as we’ve had in a while, the recent wind gone, sunny too. Not busy, quickly on/off. And the whole trip outside.
We went the long way round to the house in Broadford, with a few quiet detours. We’d a flask cup of tea at Camus More pier near Bornesketaig, haven’t been here in a while. Views from Duntulm were super. The Quirang and The Stor looking good too on the east side, as were views to Raasay and mainland. Some shopping was done in Portree.
The house was as good as before. We’d a walk along the shore etc in the evening. The view across the bay (extra photo) is so familiar; used to stay here a while ago.
A lovely day.
