Junk

Today was mostly about catching up with household tasks, although we did manage to get out for a walk to buy some fruit this afternoon. 

Close to the fruit and vegetable shop where we bought our fruit is a ramshackle shed called FreeRange.  It sells an eclectic range of junk that reminds us of a shop in Margate that had a sign in the window stating “We buy junk and sell antiques”. The difference is that FreeRange buys junk and sells junk. The proprietor is enthusiastic, interesting and eccentric.

There are 7,591 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 7,095 compared to 7,981  last Thursday. The number of people in hospital is 355, including 12 in ICU. Another 16 deaths have been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,102 and the seven-day rolling average to 12.
