Bird in a Bucket

I was at the hairdressers this morning and a bird flew into the window and lay outside, stunned. One of the hairdressers picked it up and put it in a large container so that it could recover. It was very wobbly and obviously in a state of shock. We weren’t sure that it would survive but I’ve just heard that it flew away later.
Alfie’s in the office today and Poppy was revising at college. She has her last mock exam tomorrow.

While the house was quiet, I banned D from coming into the sitting room and I watched the very last episode of This is Us, undisturbed.
Water may have leaked from my eyes.
