Abstract Landscape

In 2017 one of our 'TravelswithMatilda' took us to North Wales where we stayed on a lovely little camp site just down the road from Harlech overlooking the Llyn Peninsula. Our trip was for Mr HB to go flying but on one of the free days we drove through Llanberis and up to Snowdon passing by the stunning glacially formed Llyn Pandarn lake and the Dinorwig Power Station (Electric Mountain).  It was a beautiful sunny day and I took photos of both these stunning places.  One of the photos of the Electric Mountain in extra, inspired me to do a needlefelted piece, starting with a wet felted base and then to complete the picture with needlefelting and embroidery.   I got the wet felting done very soon after we got home …….
In 2022 the piece is still in its infancy (2nd extra) – hope to finish it in the next 5 years?!
 
Thank you so much for all your kind wishes yesterday for Mr HB.  He’s still a bit poorly and had another day in bed.  Hoping for a better day tomorrow.
