Seedpod

I started to re-decorate my bedroom today, a chore forced on me when I wanted to replace the picture over the bed with a set of framed photos from my late mum's flat. Admittedly, it has been a good few years since I last did it!

A quick search for images round the garden while dinner was cooking uncovered the Snake's Head Fritillary seedpods which have now matured; I had clearly scared off the lily beetle seen a few weeks ago threatening to devour it.  I snipped off a pod and bought it indoors for some studies, and quite like this B&W version.
