Down For The Count

Sis took me as her guest to the National Gardens Scheme fund raiser in the temperate house at Kew Gardens. What a treat. Dame Mary Berry was there but I chickened out of asking her for a photo. Although I think she would have let me because she seemed very approachable. She had an aura of beauty and charisma. 

After the auction, when things were being sold for fat prices, the band Down For The Count came on. They were the perfect combo for the setting, playing swing era American song book stuff. 

A fun evening and the Gardens Scheme raised £loads which they distribute to medical charities. So success all round.
