On An Island

Today we had a two-part agenda: 1) Mont St Michel and 2) Utah Beach + Saint Mere Eglise. We were in two cars. There was a huge traffic jam as we approached the parking lots of Mont St Michel. The people in our car including the granddaughter decided to skip 1) although I insisted on at least one good picture - and here it is. After this shot we escaped towards Utab Beach stopping for a while at Saint Mere Eglise so that I could take a picture of the famous church. We spent a relaxing afternoon on the beach with the granddaughter collecting sea shells and taking a short swim. The other carload visited Mont St Michel and we could admire a collection of about 30 photos. They were very critical about the arrangements and congestion.
