Aftermath

Went to the flea market at the Wiesn this afternoon.
A couple of days ago we (and the trees) thought summer had finally arrived with bright sunshine and warm zephyrs, today we were reminded that nature has a so called sense of humour.
Attempting to look interested at the offerings displayed by the frozen marketeers, we trudged through the muddy puddles huddled in expectant summer clothing against the breath and occasional spit of an Arctic like wind.
The most popular stalls appeared to be the ones which offered prospective clientele substantial shelter against the elements along with the promise of crowd induced body heat.
The image above shows the aftermath of the retreat of less hardy stall holders. It reminded me of the end of a typically English music festival.
