Cornus capitata, Mountain Moon

When I was looking for a tree for the front yard, this was described as spectacular, with its profusion of bright white flowers. It is indeed spectacular, but it is also a very big tree. I suppose I should have looked it up, or at least noticed the ones in the neighborhood before I put that stick in the ground, but there you go. It's a beauty.
