A Room With A View

…from the Grande Albergo Quattro Stagione which overlooks the town of Rieti past the ubiquitous bell tower out to the Apennine Mts and the valley (through that notch) we will be riding through tomorrow. Yesterday’s ride had some challenging parts that we’ve nicknamed “Simone’s Trail”. He’s the guy who literally wrote the book on the Cammino di San Benedetto and laid out the walking and biking routes. Well, some parts of the bike trail are quite steep, very uneven, and rocky requiring us to remove our panniers and walk the bikes to more safely rideable ground. Bike trail, really? But that’s part of the adventure.
