tired and happy

Nelly and Ziggy this morning after a lovely long (early) walk in the woods. We took Nelly’s stroller and she spent about half the walk in it. We met 3 of their friends - Charley the curly spaniel, Oscar the golden lab, and Poppy the long-haired (and very noisy) Jack Russell. Mr I’s been busy in the garden - unfortunately he unearthed a huge ants’ nest and had to stop whilst they all dismantled the nest and ran off. I’ve been sorting out some fleece to make a small cuddly blanket for Opie, a lovely little girl born about 10 days ago to Mr I’s nephew and his wife. An unusual name - it was Mr I’s mum’s name, although she was christened Ethel….
