Most mornings the first thing I do is make a pot of tea then sit down for half an hour with blip.

Today that didn’t happen because of ants. There were a few on the worktop near the kettle but I soon found their destination . . . the cupboard where I keep opened jars and bottles. It was the honey they were most attracted to. A clearing and cleaning session followed and the honey is now in a sealed plastic bag.

It was a busy day with cooking (some meals seem to take so much preparation) so it was late when I got out. I wasn’t the only one enjoying the evening sunshine.
