Autumn in Oz.

It’s autumn down under and we have three large oak trees in our yard which means it’s leaf raking season (we used to have a fourth, the stump being in the thumbnail).
About 20 autumns ago, I was busy raking one day when the local doctor walking his dog past my gate called out “What are you doing, John?” I thought it was fairly obvious but said “What do you think Fred, I’m raking the leaves!” Dr Fred replied “Why do you think they call them leaves?”
Thanks Fred!
