More Rubbish In The Woods

I actually got out for a ‘proper’ walk today - 4.2 miles! Walking through the woods I spotted this rubbish in one of the drainage channels (which is for road surface water and farmland run off)  that runs into the river. I though it was rusty metal at first but closer inspection showed it to be plastic. I am not completely sure what it is but am thinking it may be from some sort of barrier ‘system’ - a post that holds up a barrier panel - which may have been discarded by one of the many ‘utility’ companies that regularly dig up the nearby road!
