Under attack

I didn't sleep too badly last night, although turning over was done cautiously.  I've been very lazy but did manage a short walk through the gate and into the orchard, which is very overgrown.

My camera has a flip out screen which has proved useful and stopped me having to bend down to take any pictures.  The nasturtiums have self-seeded in the right place but the blackfly are already homing in and will have to be squidged.

We had a jay on the fence this morning, the first time I’ve seen one so close since we’ve lived here.
