The beautiful Garden at Oswaldtwistle Mills.
The Feast Day of St. Alexander.
Also, St. Mary Magdalene de Pazzi.
This photo was taken by me yesterday at Oswaldtwistle Mills, in the sunshine, in the garden area. It was not crowded.
The wild birds were on the little lake and we noticed a moorhen's nest made of tree twigs. Sometimes, someone brings owls for people to see and be photographed with. They were not there yesterday.
Paul bought me a new long floral skirt and we bought a long fat block holder cage and three well priced fat blocks for the starlings. I had to clean up all the starling mess, and bread when I got home and put the fat blocks at the end of the long narrow garden. The time during which I watched the fledglings, was very happy but the plants were getting covered in bird poo.
I do not go to the mills much, it being a train or car journey, so when I do go there, it is a great joy to discover the various stalls and retail outlets.
Today is 13c and very overcast at present. We find the evenings follow a pattern of a better light and a decent sunset.
Sadly, the washing machine stopped working today. I decided to rescue the towels, smalls and my favourite long Mountain warehouse skirt from the water in the drum in the machine. It was all so sudden and well, it is what it is.
It was a big effort to squeeze all the water out. I am so glad not to have to do hand washing and drying every day.
Paul went to Curry's and a new washer dryer was bought and is being delivered tomorrow. The ongoing de cluttering is still a work in progress. I had to part with some of Maria's art canvasses from her Art GCSE time. That felt bad, but I saved some sketchbooks.
I hope you have a good Sunday.
Thanks for your visit blip friends.
