Lovebite (Thursday 26th May 2022)

Woody Thursday went well with Refna primarily shaping both the privet hedge and the "Cloud", while I worked again at the bottom of the garden in the area beyond the car port that is being remodelled. I stored some bricks on top of a breezeblock wall I created decades ago in an area I want to develop, and the remaining bricks, kindly donated by a nextdoor neighbour, were stored surrounding the green leaf mulch container.

In the afternoon I was in Wootton Bassett and went to check on the swans I had seen at Studley Grange when the pen swan had been sitting on a nest. It took no time to find them because they were next to the road bridge over the Wilts & Berks canal at Chaddington Lane, in the company of some eighteen mallards, and grazing on the reeds and grasses by the canal bank. No cygnets were in evidence and the nest appeared to have disappeared.
