Hitchin' a Ride

An enchanting moment while walking along the Cannock Extension Canal this afternoon.  At one point there were four cygnets 'on board' but the one was precariously standing on the front of her body, immediately behind her neck and in its effort to join its siblings, it slipped into the water.

We'd spent the morning planning and booking a holiday next month, before a walk between showers and picking up L's Mom so she could come to dinner.
