Doorway to nowhere

This ivy-clad wall borders a country road - it surrounds nothing & the doorway leads only to a narrow path. It's not obvious why it was built, though the hillside further in grows an impressive display of bluebells in May (maybe that's one for later) - and makes for a good dog walk.
