Mandarin ducklings

A “free day “, cousin B drove down early to take his mum to church and cook lunch, this allowed me to have a ride without any time restraints. A circular route across the edge of Exmoor on a bright but chilly morning provided some spectacular views and a selection of birds and wildlife.
A heavy shower or two on the homeward leg turned into a thunderstorm and hailstones. I spotted some ducklings being escorted up the river so tried to get a picture but my fingers and iPhone were too wet to open the phone app, by the time I had dried everything out enough they were almost too far away. I am fairly sure that they are mandarin ducklings and mum as I have seen both adults here several times recently.
My first 100 mile ride for a couple of years and sub 6 hours , very satisfying.
