River Rothay

A stopover day in the Lake District. Started with one of our favourite walks around Rydal water and then along to see some of Grasmere. Next stop was at Wray castle for another lakeside walk. Drove through Grizedale and round Coniston. Stopped by the ferry terminal for coffee and cake and a little wander. Short stop at Stagshaw gardens on the way back to our room in Windermere. Takeaway chip supper by the lake.
