RideLondon comes to Essex

To be honest, when Surrey was partnered with RideLondon, I barely realised it was happening.  Now though, Surrey have ended the partnership and it's the turn of Essex to have three days of road closures, although we were only affected today.  The public may not have been universally happy but the swarms of cyclists surging along this road were clearly enjoying their day out.  This pub provided a great comfort break stop: out of view is a row of portaloos!
We have lived at our current address for 24 years and until today I had never realised that you could reach a path leading into the forest by walking behind the local cricket pitch: see extras for a shot of a quintessentially English scene.
