Abandoned Nest

Sadly Mrs Blackbird has abandoned this nest. I noticed when I  returned home from a 10 day holiday that the blackbird was flying in and out othe Euonymus shrub in my courtyard. So I made a conscious effort not to make too much noise or or to spend too much time outside. However realised that as  I hadn’t seen the bird for several days, I took a very careful look this morning but no bird only four pretty blue eggs in a nest. The extra shows the shrub. I was really looking forward to watching the fledgling with a  front row seat from my living room.
