Shades of Hockney

Thought I would share this after my visit to the Hockney exhibition on Friday, I did it after seeing his wonderful exhibition at the RA. After the exhibition J and I took ourselves on a ‘Hockney trail’ looking for the locations of some of his works. It was a great day out and several art pieces came from it. Woldgate was one place we found. This piece is inspired by both his photo montages and his paintings of Woldgate.
This time I felt drawn to wanting to have a go at artwork on the iPad- and also to choose a location and track it through the seasons - I’m not sure how this will unfold - but I wanted to mark what are right now simply seed thoughts - what emerges will have a season too
