Cycling on the Great Miami trail

After a very disappointing May, weather wise, apparently one of the wettest on record, we are blessed with the promise of a hot sunny weekend. After a leisurely breakfast, we loaded up the bikes and headed up to Miamisburg, to cycle on the Great Miami trail, which flows south to the Ohio River on the west side of the city. The river was running high and fast - in the middle right photo you can see several trees in the water, showing how high the water was. There were many Canada geese families along the trail, especially in the area shown in the top central photo, which seemed to be the Canada geese nursery! Further along the trail there were some beautiful flower beds beside the trail, planted to attract the butterflies. When we got back home, I planted some of our patio containers - I had bought the plants a few days ago, but it had been raining most of the time since. In the evening Laura was out with a friend, so we had a quiet evening on our own.
