Hardknott Roman Fort

A trip to the Western Lake District this afternoon all the way through into late evening. We set off to Hardknott pass via Ullswater then over to Ravenglass and Wastwater then followed by St Bees and Bassenthwaite. The best part of the trip was the old Roman fort on Hardknott Pass, superb views to the Scafell Massif.
