Mostly sunshine

We’ve had a mostly sunny day today, with temperatures around 18/19degC - higher than normal for this time of the year, which is worrying from a climate change perspective. The temperature is starting to drop and dark clouds are gathering, so more rain is probably on the way.

As I have done before I took a couple of photos at Kohimarama Beach on my way to Pilates.  The top photo looks east and the bottom photo looks west.

There are 8,436 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 6,885 compared to 7,507  last Tuesday. The number of people in hospital is 389, including 9 in ICU. Another 18 deaths have been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,172 and the seven-day rolling average to 14.
