Scattered Red Feathers

I have never seen an Anna Hummingbird with feathers becoming red in a scattered pattern like this. The Hot Lips flowers are finally starting to bloom; these plants are a favorite of our hummingbirds.

Today was a busy day with most work outside until Ellie came over at about 4:30 PM, then we played inside. She helped me sort through some of her dolls and toys; her room looks much neater now. Now that she is asleep I can post my Blip.
