.....no. Lacrosse can be a rough sport. This is not a "legal"check. There are 2 referees at the game, unfortunately, there was no flag thrown on this play. Ironically, when I came home from the game, there was a nursing magazine with an article on childhood concussions from sport injuries. A child's brain does not heal as quickly as an adult's brain. I took quite a few photos of "hits" like this where there were no flags thrown. The referees are there to enforce the rules of lacrosse. Rules are made to keep the players safe. Come on Ref! Keep our kids safe!
