Between the showers

Rain, sun, and hail today. I rushed back home from the studio with my eye on the black clouds blowing in.

Amanda has moved to the studio next to mine; it feels friendly.

I’ve started The Netanyahus by Joshua Cohen; it won a Pulitzer Prize for fiction.

D bought cherries and apricots from the fruit stand on the High Road and they are so bad! They look beautiful but are soft and sour. I was spoiled when young because I grew up with fruit orchards all around. I’ve never got used to city fruit. We go to this stand out of loyalty because they struggled on throughout the lockdown, but it might be time for a change. I will be cooking them all with some sugar.
